Wang Du Festival: 24 hour accumulation

March 21st 8:00 am - March 22nd 7:00 am CET

These 24 hours we will be accumulating The Great Cloud of Blessings: the Prayer which Magnetises All that Appears and Exists —so that we may gather the circumstances to support our dharma activities and bring about all the outer and inner circumstances to accomplish our goals.

Most important is to practise with focus and purpose, direct the practice toward creating the perfect interdependent circumstances for the fulfilment of all aspirations and the smooth accomplishment of Rigpa’s projects—so that the victory banner of the Buddha’s teachings may continue to be raised high long into the future.

This day will include a talk to kick us all off by Rigpa’s senior teacher Seth Dye, who will be sharing advice the Rigpa sangha has received from many of our teachers in bringing this prayer alive.

You find an extensive resource-page for the Wang Du prayer here.

Curious about getting involved or supporting the livestream? Find out more here.

The streaming via Zoom will be held from different Rigpa Centres around the world.

Please submit your Wang Dü accumulations during the weekend here.

About Seth Dye

Seth Dye was born in France to American parents. At the age of 16, he moved to the US, where he went on to complete a thesis in biology on sustainable agriculture and work in different jobs in this field. In 1994 he encountered Tibetan Buddhism and met Nyoshul Khenpo in Lerab Ling, Rigpa’s retreat centre in southern France. He has been a Rigpa student ever since.

Seth has been closely trained by Sogyal Rinpoche as master of ceremony, as well as by many other teachers, and has been supporting Rinpoche in his travels, teachings and public events for many years. He oversaw the construction of the Lerab Ling temple and sacred decoration, and has played a role in helping to establish the Vajrayana tradition in Rigpa, including as an instructor. Recently Seth has overseen the construction of stupas in Lerab Ling, Dharma Mati, Sukhavati and Dzogchen Beara.

He is a member of Rigpa’s Vision Board.
