Compassion requires courage

It is crucial for the understanding of compassion that one realizes it is not an adjective to simply put on in your relationship to the Buddhist path of meditation, but it requires introspection. It requires tremendous courage, tremendous contemplation, tremendous insight into human nature, your own capabilities, and the power of causes and conditions that one creates, that impacts one’s lives and the lives of the others.
