Morning practices for Celebrating the 90th Birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama Practice — from Lerab Ling

July 06th 6:30 am - July 06th 7:30 am CET

On 6th July we will mark the 90th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the beginning of the ‘Year of Compassion’ in his honour. As a spokesperson for peace, compassion and human values, His Holiness occupies a special place in the hearts of millions - Buddhist and non-Buddhist alike. In Rigpa we will celebrate his dharma accomplishments by practising together and several centres will host festive activities.

Join in the joyful celebration of this auspicious day and year and share in the merit by making donations:

  • towards the offering of tsok, flowers and lights during  the practice in Lerab Ling (this will include offering of butter lamps at the Bodhgaya stupa by Rigpa), and

  • offering butter lamps in Dzogchen Beara (please add a comment in your dedication so we know your donation is for the birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama)

Also check with your centre if there are more activities happening in your centre to celebrate His Holiness’s birthday.
