A gift to the world

Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche or Nyoshul Khenpo Jamyang Dorjé, was such a consummate master of Dzogpachenpo, and such an authority on the teachings of Longchenpa, that his disciples regarded him as Longchenpa in the flesh. No one who met him can ever forget his extraordinary presence or the spirit in which he taught, which embodied so perfectly the fathomless ease and vastness of Dzogpachenpo.

During an event in San Jose, California in 1989 where His Holiness the Dalai Lama was offering a series of teachings on Dzogchen, Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche was invited to give a special evening teaching. This teaching, titled ‘A Gift to the World’, was translated by Richard Barron (Chökyi Nyima), the text of which was printed in ‘Dzogchen: The Heart Essence of the Great Perfection’, published by Rigpa in collaboration with Snow Lion Publications in 2000.

Thank you very much for these teachings. Is it possible to have a transcription, or subtitles, as my hearing is not good and I found it very hard to follow the translation.

The written text of this teachings is also available as an appendix in ‘Dzogchen: The Heart Essence of the Great Perfection’. You might have this one on your bookshelf. Otherwise send an email to contact@prajnaonline.org and we will help with your request.
