CHÖKHOR DÜCHEN - LIVE FROM THE DZOGCHEN BEARA TEMPLE

9 July, morning, 9-12.30 CET
This event is streamed in English only.

After 10 years of meticulous designing, planning, constructing and decorating… this July we will witness the fruition of Sogyal Rinpoche’s vision to open a temple in Dzogchen Beara, Ireland!

The Dzogchen Beara community looks forward to welcoming you personally to celebrate this special occasion together.

The whole sangha can be transported virtually inside the Dzogchen Beara temple for the first practice on the 9th of July, which is Chökhor Düchen, the “Festival of the first Turning of the Wheel of Dharma”.

What a beautiful and significant moment this will be for the whole Rigpa sangha! Let’s rejoice in the vast merit generated by the collective, inspired energy of the sangha through building this temple together, and in seeing the vision to establish Dharma in the West being realised before our very eyes!

First Teachings in the Dzogchen Beara Temple (in-person only)
We are also delighted that Rigpa’s esteemed spiritual friend Ringu Tulku Rinpoche will bestow the first teaching in the Dzogchen Beara temple on the weekend of the 12th -14th July. More info

Chökhor Düchen — one of the four major Buddhist holidays.
For seven weeks after his enlightenment, Buddha did not teach. Finally, encouraged by Indra and Brahma, he turned the Wheel of Dharma for the first time, at Sarnath, teaching The Four Noble Truths. Chökhor Düchen celebrates the first turning of the Wheel of Dharma.

On this day the effects of positive and negative actions are multiplied 10 million times.
Let's celebrate this day together with a joyful practice.

You can also make a donation and dedicate your offering to removing obstacles for yourself or a loved one and accompany your donation with an aspiration prayer online.
